Emily’s Rainbow Fund

Emily's Rainbow FundEmily’s Rainbow Fund is a member of the Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital Circle of Friends program whose mission is to donate proceed raised through fundraising events to support pediatric cancer research. The fund is named in memory of 12 year old Westlake resident, Emily Lewis, who on August 8, 2009 passed away after a courageous three year battle with Wilms tumor, a type of pediatric cancer.

The Steven G. AYA Cancer Research Fund

Steven G AYA Cancer Research FundThe Steven G. AYA Cancer Research Fund is a non-profit organization. Our purpose is to raise awareness about AYA (adolescent and young adult) cancer and the need for research to find better ways to treat and cure our young people! Since 2007 they have raised over $120,000+ for AYA Cancer Research. They have contributed that money to the AYA Cancer Initiative at University Hospitals of Cleveland and to CureSearch, the funding arm of the COG (Children’s Oncology Group of the NCI – National Cancer Institute). The Steven G. AYA Cancer Research Fund desire to help AYA cancer survivors and their families become connected to organizations that will provide information and help. Their job is to seek out educational programs and share information with survivors.

Jeremy Cares

Jeremy CaresFounded in Avon Lake in 2011, Jeremy Cares Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a mission to enrich the lives of families with children dealing with serious illnesses by promoting emotional and social healing by working with other local organizations to support and help the families regain feelings of control, improve self-image, and to diminish the stresses that illness creates for the entire family. This is accomplished by partnering with other facilities in Northeastern Ohio that provide medical care or support to the families.

The Littlest Heros

The Littlest HerosThe Littlest Heroes is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving children with cancer and their families in Northeast Ohio communities. Services are provided to families and health care facilities free of charge. Our programs and services bring families of a child with cancer an unprecedented, continual line of support from the moment of diagnoses throughout follow-up. We focus on addressing the spiritual, emotional and physical aspects economic, emotional and social concerns related to childhood cancer through education and services that work to empower children and individual family members.
